As part of the Media Production Engineering (PE) team, you will be responsible for designing and deploying key components of the Yahoo! homepage and supporting backend infrastructure to meet high quality and performance requirements.
The team is the driving force behind the technical quality of our production systems. By writing, designing, and implementing software to drive speed, usability, reliability, and performance, the team ensures the continued quality of production systems as we dive deep into the many layers and phases of software development.

We are looking for DevOps engineers who can:
Have a passion for solving difficult technical problems, from the network to the application stack; like to relentlessly automate anything and everything at scale (tens of thousands of servers); spend time figuring out how something works, not being content with just knowing what it does;
You want to make real web applications and back-end systems faster, more reliable, and more efficient; you think outside the box to build systems that collect, instrument, analyze, and deliver insights about data.
Lastly, You enjoy fast-paced projects, have a broad and deep technical knowledge, and are willing to embrace new technologies.
You must have the following: Work from Home
- BS/ MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree;
- Intermediate to advanced programming skills in one of Python, Perl, Go, NodeJS, Java; Solid experience writing, understanding, and improving algorithms, data structures, scripts, and software design practices;
- Deep understanding of UNIX /Linux system internals and tools to troubleshoot application stack dumps and networks; Experience resolving incidents and dealing with technical aspects (during and after the incident) for both technical and non-technical audiences;
- Moreover, Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies such as Mesos, Kubernetes.
- Lastly, Experience with creating CI/CD pipelines;
Preferred qualifications:
- Candidate have Experience with build and deployment technologies such as version control, Maven, Docker, Chef.
- Strong experience in managing, debugging and optimizing web applications and containers and as well as related technology;
