JOB DESCRIPTION
At Wipro the intern will be responsible for configuring and testing Wipro’s proprietary Total Benefit Administration™ (TBA) system to meet the needs of our clients.
Configuration includes using proprietary systems and tools to set up and configure tables/parameters in the TBA system as directed by analysis.
Testing includes preparing test cases and test data and performing test activities based on instructions from SA.
This role is intended as an entry-level position for candidates with strong programming skills (logical thinking, analytical skills), system configuration, and testing related to systems supporting human resources functions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Customer knowledge and delivery
- Reviews customer requirements documents and all preliminary test plans, correctly meets due dates, and supports customer delivery priority.
- Asks clarifying questions about stated requirements and uses handover time effectively.
- Utilizes relevant problem solving resources as needed.
- Escalates issues when appropriate.
- Utilizes customer’s typical requirements documentation to assist in analysis and/or test planning.
- Identifies required test cases
- Completes test plans with required test cases
- Configures system to meet analysis specifications.
- Documents relevant configuration in analysis specifications.
- Resolves any issues identified during test execution
- Ability to stress test the system
Qualification:
- B.Tech / BE (CS, IT and ECE) / MCA only.
- graduates of the class of 2023 only.
Quality and Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of software development life cycle principles/concepts (SDLC).
- Knowledgeable of test automation principles and some experience would be desirable.
- Knowledge of best practices and methodologies for system testing and software quality assurance.
- Ability to break a complex problem into smaller, more manageable parts and to understand and describe the relationships between those parts (i.e., good analytical skills).
- Application of basic relational database concepts (e.g. table relationships, keys, SQL and DB2 queries, etc.).
Experience with system implementations
- Writing SQL queries at an intermediate level
- Troubleshooting system deficiencies and errors at an intermediate level
- Efficiently manage tasks, prioritize and proactively update status to managers.
- Should be able to link test plans to customer impact in real time
- be able to think test cases beyond the given test plan
- Strong ability and willingness to break down the system through testing
- Good understanding of data analysis
- Analyzes and troubleshoots problems
- Utilizes relevant problem solving resources as needed
- Escalates issues when necessary.

Wipro
- King’s College London, and is aimed at teachers of science, mathematics, engineering and computer science, as well as education policy makers.
- This will also provide students with the opportunity to engage with policy and practice in a global context.
- The 18-month program begins in January 2019 and will support early childhood teachers and STEM teachers in schools in Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, and Derbyshire.
- The mentoring program offers a blended model of face-to-face and online support for high-performing teachers STEM
- They will become effective mentors, drawing on the expertise of the Sheffield Institute of Education.
- All teachers and educators will also have the opportunity to earn 30 accredited points through additional participation in the Research and Development in Education module at MA.
- Each academic year, the program will add 20 elementary teachers and five to 10 guidance counselors.
