Requires IDX (managed care application) experience configuring benefit plan headers, coverage categories, and plan exception logic based on health plan summaries and benefit statements; understanding of basic medical services and terminology, medical coding (CPT, HCPCs, ASA, ICD-10, etc.), critical thinking and logical skills; good communication skills; offshore acceptable.
File uploads would be desirable? csv file or excel separated file ? Tool in IDX for file uploads ? familiar with benefit plans transactions like claim response 271 ? that would be great ? today they just get to enter things manually ? Macros would be useful.
Production function where they get 2,000 brand new benefit configurations annually and for acquisitions in different formats, e.g., from PDF, where they have to realise that ?office visit? in IDX translates as PCP visit with a $10 co-pay, so that shows up in IDX.
They have some templates they can copy, but it’s a matter of reading and interpreting what the health plan says is covered and making sure we find the same service in IDX so the assignment is correct.
