Purpose of this role at Wipro
The purpose of this position is to design the organization’s computer and network security infrastructure and protect its systems and sensitive information from cyber threats.
Do
- Design and develop an enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy and architecture
- Understand security requirements by assessing business strategies and conducting vulnerability and risk assessments for system security
- Identify risks associated with business processes, operations,
information security programs, and technology projects
- Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats and design security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they occur
- Identify security vulnerabilities in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements
- Provide best-fit analysis for products to ensure end-to-end security covering multiple areas of the architecture, e.g., layered security, zoning, integration aspects, API, endpoint security, data security, compliance, and regulations
- Demonstrate experience in performing security assessments in accordance with NIST frameworks, SANS, CIS etc.
- Assist with technical deployment, configuration, integration, and management of security technologies
- Demonstrate experience with ITIL or key process oriented areas such as incident management, configuration management, change management, problem management, etc.
- Provide disaster recovery support in the event of security breaches, attacks, intrusions, and unusual, unauthorized, or illegal activities
- Provide solutions to RFPs received from customers and ensure comprehensive design assurance
- Develop an approach to managing the portfolio of solutions being developed, including systems, shared infrastructure services, applications, and hardware related to cyber risk security, to better meet the goals of the organization
- Analyze the technology environment, business specifics, and customer requirements to define a framework/architecture for collaboration
Depending on the client’s needs, create complete RFPs using specific standards and technology stacks
- Take technical lead in the design, development and implementation of custom solutions through the thoughtful use of modern technologies
- Define and understand as-is solutions and identify improvements, options and trade-offs to define to-be solutions
- Clearly articulate and sell architectural goals, recommendations, and reusable patterns and propose investment plans accordingly
- Evaluates and recommends solutions for integration into the overall technology ecosystem
- Tracks industry and application trends and relates them to planning for current and future needs IT
Coordinate with stakeholders and assist with reviews
- Liaise with stakeholders on cybersecurity issues and provide timely support and future recommendations
- Assist in maintaining an information security risk register and assist with internal and external audits related to information security
- Assist in reviewing security best practices and implementing security policies across the organization to meet business objectives and customer and regulatory requirements
- in the creation, maintenance, and delivery of cybersecurity training for team members and customers
- Train employees on topics such as spam and unsolicited or malicious emails
