About Team
Everyone has data, but the sheer volume of data at Walmart can be limitless.
On the Data Engineering team, we help Walmart manage this data by building pipelines and
data lakes to prepare Big Data for analysis and extract actionable insights in real time.
We also leverage cross-departmental data and machine learning to gain a holistic view of true profitability.
This allows us to save millions of dollars across all item categories and geographies, and help our executives make better decisions faster.
Responsibilities: Fresher Graduates
You will be working on a team of developers writing codes to build any of the following systems, but not limited to:
Largest private customer database, item master data, supply chain to support our online and offline channels,
mobile development to improve the user experience for our employees, complex security frameworks and cryptology suites,
integration layer to interface with suppliers and B2B partners, world’s largest private cloud, large scale distributed systems, service oriented architecture.
Requirements:
- 1.You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s/master’s degree or equivalent in engineering and will graduate in 2023
- 2.You have earned an overall grade point average of 7 or higher in all semesters
- 3.You have a very good understanding of the fundamental areas of computer science such as data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming and as well as design
- 4.You are proficient in any programming language – C/C++/Java.
- 5.You have strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills,
- as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 6.You pay attention to detail and are able to interpret data and also trends, diagnose problems, and formulate effective action plans to resolve issues.
- 7.You are self-starting and motivated, have an entrepreneurial passion and as well as
- a desire to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with diverse responsibilities
