Job Description:

Position Description and Specification :-

Technical Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of real time low value payment processing and switch technologies such as ACI Universal Framework & WIRE Transfer
  • Experience with Java/J2EE technologies, web & rest API services, IBM MQ& Linux Servers
  • Ability to read & write code is a must as UNIX Scripting & PL/SQL is being extensively used
  • Experience using Splunk & App Dynamics for monitoring
  • Have experience in Control-M job monitoring and as well as troubleshooting using Unix/Linux commands
  • Lastly, Expert knowledge on ISO20022 XML payment file formats
  • Have production support experience and should know ticketing tools- ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, JIRA & Confluence portal

Must-Have/Mandatory

  • Good analytical & troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work under pressurized environments and as well as in an extremely time-sensitive environment
  • Good communication (Oral, Verbal & Written) skills
  • Set of Technical skills mentioned above
  • Self-driven, proactive team player
  • Ability to troubleshoot and think “outside the box” to resolve rarely seen problems.

Good-to-Have/Desirable

  • Relevant certifications
  • ITIL/ production support background
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Tools like Control-M, ServiceNow, JIRA & Confluence

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day to day production support NPP Payment systems
  • Technical troubleshooting including workflow behavior, system performance, user experience issues, interfaces (batch & Realtime), reporting, and overall environment issues
  • Furthermore, Respond to queries from interfacing systems (both external and internal to Westpac), assist in resolving data, connectivity, and reconciliation issues.
  • Ensure the integrity of the Production environment is maintained and kept as priority overall.
  • Moreover, Investigate and develop fixes for small bugs or functionality issues.
  • Incident management, Problem management, Availability & capacity management.
  • Change management – Ensure that all change that is deployed into Production is tested and verified.
  • Attend regular meetings to discuss the planning of deployments
  • Resolution of major incidents in a time-sensitive environment
  • Identify and as well as automate manual tasks
