Job description:
Internship Tenure: 6 months
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, design, and test documents
- Develop basic Java classes and methods
- Support the Data Governance team in maintaining accurate and complete master and reference data for Oil and Gas.
- Participate in data quality analysis and reporting activities and assist in identifying and resolving data quality issues.
- Document workflow of various processes related to master and reference data
- Conduct thorough research and analysis, collect related information and data, and investigate relationships between data objects to support requirements
- Actively review data, seek data quality improvements, and pursue automation opportunities
- Participate in the development of master data management strategies (e.g., matching and merging rules) and related tooling operations
- Collaborate with stakeholders and data stewards through knowledge sharing and experience exchange, training, and education
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled or recent graduate in Petroleum Engineering, Geology or Data Science with knowledge of programming
- Working knowledge of the Java programming language
- Basic knowledge of Excel and SQL
- Working knowledge of master and reference data concepts and best practices.
- Agile and analytical mindset to find process efficiencies and improvement ideas, as well as implementation and change management skills
- Soft skills such as communication, stakeholder relations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
