Job Description:

Responsibilities:
As a Data Scientist Intern, you will support a project to extract patient data and clinical characteristics from faxes, documents, and lab results and match the results to EHR data.
The right candidate for our internship will be expected to understand common concepts, practices, and procedures within the software development process and rely on mentors, instructions, and pre-established guidelines to perform the duties of the position.
Preference will be given to applicants who live near our Chennai office or are willing to relocate to Chennai.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Ability to work full time for 12 weeks.
- Upcoming junior or senior in software development, academic studies leading to a bachelor’s or master’s degree (mathematics, statistics, IT and computer science engineering or other related field).
- Knowledge of data science.
Preferred qualifications (desired skills/experience): Internship
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Strong technical experience as demonstrated by technical projects, research or internships in engineering
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and collaborative skills, demonstrated through leadership positions in teams and/or student or community organizations.
- Exceptional communication skills and interest and enthusiasm for the medical device industry and as well as a career with ResMed.
