Role/Responsibilities
At Moody’s the candidate will be an integral part of the Ratings and Research Support (RRS) team providing and coordinating comprehensive data and process support. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining, extracting, validating, and updating data and other information.
Key functions of the role include
- Understanding the data set and input and output requirements
- Gathering data from various sources and updating relevant tools, templates, internal databases, files and spreadsheets after making adjustments as previously described
- Data from Moody’s internal tools, information provided by other teams, company reports.
Interact with other teams on a regular basis for workflow purposes - Identify and investigate issues, exceptions, and discrepancies with data, escalating and following up to resolve as necessary
- Downloading information, files, links, etc. from websites/internal websites and databases
- Sharing daily and weekly updates as needed for the process, including workflow status or summaries

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, management or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in business, financial data and Excel based processes, with problem solving skills. Knowledge of financial statements and financial terminology
- Solid verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to complete processes without error. Ability to follow a process confidently and develop expertise quickly without the need for constant quality control of work
- Flexibility with last minute changes in commitments and deadlines and ability to prioritize tasks accordingly. Ability to manage and prioritize a heavy workload
- Resourcefulness and initiative, continually looking for ways to improve processes/teams/work environments, and motivation to provide a high level of service
