Mastercard is looking for a Software Engineer
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Responsible for programming, testing, implementing, documenting, maintaining and supporting system application software in accordance with MasterCard standards, processes and best practices
- Develop high quality, secure, and scalable software solutions based on technical requirements specifications and design artifacts on time and within budget
- Research, create, and evaluate technical solution alternatives for business requirements
- Produce system and test documentation in accordance with department standards.
- Adhere to standards during development and testing to ensure compliance with testing requirements
- Adherence to MasterCard’s quality assurance and quality control processes
- Assist in the collection and reporting of project and software metrics
- Actively seek opportunities to improve standards and increase process efficiencies
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience
- Basic understanding and knowledge of software engineering concepts and methodologies is required 0 to 12 months of software engineering experience
- Must be energetic, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills — both verbal and written – and the ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies, application specific frameworks and tools.
- Strong relationship, collaboration and organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation and the ability to work as a member of a matrix-based, diverse and geographically dispersed project team
- Willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging assignments
