JOB DESCRIPTION
At JPMorgan Chase&Co. as a Software Engineer l at JPMorgan Chase on the Commercial Banking Technology CRM team, you will be part of an agile team working to improve, design, and deliver the software components of the company’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.
As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you will execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, gaining the skills and experience necessary to grow in your role.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute software solutions, design, development and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to develop solutions or solve technical problems
- Creates secure and high quality production code and maintains algorithms that run in sync with appropriate systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to make improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture
- Collects, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reports from large, diverse data sets in the service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Contributes to software engineering communities and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Contributes to a team culture characterized by diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, skills, and abilities
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, and React JS with at least 1 year of experience.
- Formal training or certification for AWS is a plus
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large enterprise environment using one or more modern programming languages and database query languages
- Extensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, candidate resiliency, and security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, skills and abilities
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Experience with cloud technologies
