Accountabilities:
- The job holder must ensure that, under the supervision of his/her supervisor, complete, truthful and accurate analysis and reports are prepared for functional management and senior executives to enable effective decision making.
- In this role, the job holder will receive extensive supervision and on the job training, however it is critical that the person in this role is able to learn new tasks very quickly.
- The role holder will be expected to carry out tasks/projects after initial guidance.
- Role holder is expected to solve simple technical/business problems independently without involving their line manager.
- The role holder is expected to be responsible for thorough quality control of their own work products and as well as follow departmental quality control procedures as defined by their supervisors
- Must be able to perform/accomplish defined tasks.
- Must be able to work on well-defined processes or under close supervision.
- Develop expertise and as well as good knowledge of tools [SAS, SQL, VBA, Unix, Qlik, R, Python and other BI tools & data technologies]
- Interface with business units/functions to translate business requirements into executable instructions/techniques.
Moreover—
- Maintain level of communication/interaction within team and direct supervisor, including onshore business partners
- Ability to understand and analyse complicated and diverse business problems with limited or complex data and create a feasible solution framework.
- Moreover, Participate in technical/functional meetings and ensure project deliverables are delivered in a timely manner.
- Works smoothly within the team and supports other staff.
- Follow standard procedures and governance practises.
- Convert existing SAS scripts to new tools such as Python / Biq Query / SAS.
Requirements:
- Minimum 0 – 2 years of experience with Bachelor’s/Master’s degree
- Experience with advanced technologies such as Bigdata, Python is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of programming tools, preferably with proficiency in one or a combination of tools such as SAS, SQL, UNIX, Mainframe or Windows.
- Hands-on experience in design/development of complex SAS programs, data structures/marts
- Hands on experience in code conversation
- Lastly, Advanced person with good knowledge of banking domine.
Skill sets:
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to develop and effectively communicate complex concepts and as well as ideas
- To work in cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills and drive to succeed.
- Maintain level of communication/interaction within team and direct supervisor, including onshore business partners.
- Strong analytical skills with aptitude for business analysis.
- Knowledge and understanding of financial services/banking is a plus.
