Job description:
- This role is part of the Global Indirect Procurement Organization.
- It’s responsible for the operational execution of procurement activities, such as purchase order management and supplier management in Finance and Business Consulting.
- Applies the fundamentals of the principles, theories and concepts of a function to tasks of limited scope.
- Applies professional concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education, or prior experience.
- Develops expertise and practical knowledge of applications in the business environment.
- Acts as a team member by providing information, analysis and recommendations to support team efforts.
- Exercises independent judgment within specific parameters.
Responsibilities:
- Performs procurement activities focusing on basic commodities requiring limited technical expertise.
- Collaborates with team members across the organization to meet commodity objectives, business controls and compliance requirements.
- Performs process-oriented tasks using discretion and judgment, such as receiving purchase requests, performing essential business procurement and financial reviews, and as well as using automated tools.
- Moreover, Contributes to cross-functional team goals by executing commodity strategies through tactical deliveries.
- Risk mitigation and quality assurance for internal purchase orders Process purchase requisitions, validate purchase orders and close out purchase orders
- Support HP internal customers in the processing of non-catalog orders
- Ensure alignment with Global Indirect Procurement category managers and process owners
- Lead and participate in process improvement projects
- Acting with a sense of urgency to expedite the procurement process and ensure customer satisfaction
Required Education and Experience:
- First degree or equivalent experience.
- Typically 0-2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain function.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in English and local language.
- Basic understanding of procurement processes.
- Developed analytical and as well as technical skills.
- Basic knowledge of business applications (e.g. web-based, SAP -based).
- Good communication skills.
