Job Description:
As an Analyst on the Air Category team, you will play a critical role in monitoring and formulating pricing on the Cleartrip platform, analyzing data, benchmarking against key competitors, driving data-driven optimizations and insights on a daily basis, and working closely with various stakeholders across the Bizfin, Category and Supplier Relations team.
Responsibilities:
- Support business decisions by formulating hypotheses, structuring the problem, analyzing relevant data
- to verify the hypothesis, and creating documentation to communicate results and findings
- Monitor key business, product and technical metrics such as airline mix, segment/booking volume, net revenue, revenue per segment ( RPS ),
- marketing/discounts per segment across various parameters and take/recommend corrective action
- Product: monitor trends in consumer behavior of VAS (insurance, seat, baggage) across
- all phases of the product funnel, prepare and as well as document analysis and insights
- Operations: Create, monitor and market proposals along with competitive insights from start to finish and underpin final results with data-driven analytics
- Automation: create various dashboards, alerts, and data sets to visualise and as well as quickly gain actionable insights
- Reporting: provide performance reports to internal and as well as external stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related discipline, or an MBA degree in the appropriate field
- Prior data analytics experience, preferably in business analytics 2+ years of experience in a relevant role, prior online and travel experience preferred
- Results driven and self-motivated, able to execute a process from start to finish with attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills, high level of comfort with numbers
Moreover—-
- Experience with web analytics, data mining & BI tools (GA, SQL, MS Office/Excel/Access, R/ Python, Tableau / Qliksense / Qlikview / PowerBI)
- Self-starter with excellent communication, data presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with different functional teams and levels to lead the achievement of the objective
- Demonstrated strong performance in prior roles with outstanding execution, analytical and problem-solving skills.
