Job Description:
EY the GDS Assurance Digital team is tasked with developing, implementing and integrating technology solutions that better support our audit clients and engagement teams.
As a member of the EY core assurance practice, you will develop deep technical knowledge of auditing as well as excellent database, data analytics, and programming skills.
Due to increasingly stringent regulations, audit departments must collect, organize, and analyze more data than ever before.
Often, the data needed to comply with these ever-growing and complex regulations must be collected from a variety of systems and departments within an organization.
Dealing effectively and efficiently with the variety and volume of data is often extremely difficult and time-consuming for an organization.
EY’s GDS Assurance Digital team members work side-by-side with partners, clients, and audit subject matter experts to develop and integrate technology solutions that add value, improve efficiency, and provide our clients with breakthrough and market-leading tools to support audit.
GDS Assurance Digital provides solution architecture, application development, testing and maintenance support for the global assurance service line both on a proactive basis and also in response to specific requests.
EY is currently seeking a Software Engineer to join the GDS Assurance Digital Practice in Bangalore, India to work on various Microsoft technology-based projects for clients around the world.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree (BE /BTech/MCA & MBA) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Accounting, Finance or related field with appropriate industry experience.
Technical Skills Requirements:
- Strong experience with .Net Core and Entity Framework and as well as React JS /Angular JS
- Experience in React JS or Angular JS is a must.
- Knowledge of relational database development: MS SQL /SQL Azure, EF 6, EF Core
- Unit tests: NUnit, Moq, jest
- Experience with distributed version control systems: Git/SVN
- Understanding and as well as experience with software development best practices.
- Excellent business communication
- JSON and also rest API integration
- Need to contribute as a team member in various technical areas of Microsoft technologies.
Desired Skills:
- Working knowledge of one of the following technologies: Angular, React
- Experience in Azure DevOps
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
Analytical Tasks/Decision Making Skills:
- Ability to quickly understand complex concepts and apply technology to support data modeling, analytics, visualization or process automation
- Appropriate selection of and use of applicable standards, methodologies, tools, and applications
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, as well as independently
- Demonstrates an analytical and systematic approach to problem solving
- Fluent in oral and as well as written communication and ability to present complex technical information to both technical and also non-technical audiences
- Is able to plan, schedule and as well as monitor work activities to meet time and quality objectives
- Ability to quickly absorb new technical information, business acumen, and also effectively apply that information
- Ability to work as part of a team with strong customer focus, good listening, negotiation skills and problem solving skills
Additional Qualification Requirements:
- A senior is expected to be able to maintain long-term customer relationships, build networks, and cultivate business development opportunities
- Deliver quality customer services by leading the daily progress of job work, keeping the job manager informed of job status, and managing employee performance.
- Must have presentation skills ‘ Ability to create PowerPoint presentations to communicate solution architecture to various stakeholders.
- Should have an understanding of and experience with best practices in software development
- Excellent business communication, consulting, and as well as quality process skills
- Must be a team player
