Analyst – CoE Assurance
EY Job Description:
The role of a CoE Analyst is to perform routine substantive and controls-based procedures from the CoE offices in India in support of the various assurance teams servicing the Indian client. The SRB’s expectations of this role are to deliver high quality deliverables to the engagement teams, often on a tight schedule.
Primary responsibilities and accountabilities in the Assurance Associate role:
Responsible for ensuring the highest quality is achieved on each assigned task in accordance with SRB methodology and engagement team expectations.
Demonstrate a basic understanding of an industry or sector and raise awareness of technical issues and audit risks.
Perform and document specific audit procedures as determined by engagement teams.
Build knowledge of risk management, including understanding of key business processes, regulations applicable to the client, and other risks specific to the client’s business.
Timely identification of accounting issues, clear documentation of facts and findings, and discussion with COE senior/assistant manager.
Work with COE senior and team members to establish goals and responsibilities.
Make suggestions for improvement by comparing the effectiveness of audit procedures at various clients.
Promote SRB’s ethical and professional standards, including confidentiality of data.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- B.com. with 0 to 1 year of relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of accounting and auditing concepts.
- Proficiency with MS office and Outlook.
- Solid reasoning and logical thinking skills.
- Interest in business and commercial thinking.
- Ability to work in a team environment, multitask, be flexible and able to work under pressure.
- Willingness to constantly learn and proactively implement new processes.
