JOB DESCRIPTION
Emerson Patch testing :-
System Deviation Report (SDR) testing for Ovation/Ovation add-on patches. – Monthly patch and weekly AV -installation on Ovation test beds and run Ovation Basic. – Functional testing thereafter creating and deploying Operating System Deployment (OSD) images. – Populating bulletin files for regular activities
System installation: – Installation of Windows OS, drivers and Microsoft patches (for Engineering Workstation) – Configuration of DCS setup including hardware (controllers, base I/O modules, etc.) – Software – Ovation (Engineering Workstation, Base Station), installation and configuration of Ovation add-ons: Ovation Process Historian (OPH), OPC, Anti-Virus, etc.
Additional Responsibilities: – Participate in lab activities such as lab maintenance, controller wall mounting, hardware maintenance, network rack planning and processing, hardware equipment tagging, etc. – Learning and increasing knowledge of DCS and other Emerson products such as Ovation, OPH, OPC, ELC, APC, OSC, AV, TPNF, etc.

- – Continually develop knowledge of DCS product components
- – Improve test procedures for tasks performed as needed.
- – Testing of Ovation releases and add-ons while adhering to the test cycle
- – Smoke, first pass and regression testing.
- – Regular attendance and active participation in assigned project conferences.
- – Maintain product quality testing within agreed upon schedule.

- – Strong computer skills.

- – Self-motivation and willingness to take on challenging tasks.
- – Creativity in applying knowledge of product validation and software testing.
