Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- The Rigid Packaging Engineer will be responsible for assisting with new mould development in the areas of NPD (new product development) / replacement and capacity expansion.
- The individual should have adequate communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with relevant CFT members and ensure timely achievement of objectives.
- The candidate should have expertise in plastics processing and mould development.
- Maintain mould history/health care for all moulds in the system.
- Responsible for testing new mould components, performing dimensional and functional analysis and recommending mould/component specifications.
- Should have knowledge of various measuring devices such as Vernier, height gauge, vacuum leakage, ESCR testing and torque testing
- Proactively identify technical risks and make recommendations for risk mitigation to be presented to management.
- Manage and implement own agreed work plan Evaluation and qualification of packaging components.
Qualification & Experience:
- P.G. in Plastics Engineering / Moulds and Tools from CIPET / NTTF or B.E. Mech 1-3 years of mould development experience, preferably in FMCG.
- Hands on experience in testing of injection moulded, ISBM, EBM and as well as IBM components.
- Good understanding of packaging components, sustainable packaging solutions for consumer friendly formats.
