At Coursera, our Talent Team supports our mission by hiring talented individuals for key positions across the organization.
As a Recruiting Coordinator, you will support our hiring efforts as we build our second development office in Toronto and ensure that everything runs smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include scheduling phone calls and on-site interviews (travel arrangements and reimbursement if needed),
building relationships with candidates to discuss next steps, and overall office management and functionality.
In this role, you will work closely with recruiters and our technical lead to ensure an excellent candidate experience. We welcome your critical eye and advice on improving our hiring process.
We are a fast-paced technology startup, and success in this role will be defined by the ability to prioritize, organize,
and execute in a multi-tasking environment, attract applicants with a sense of urgency, and identify opportunities to improve the applicant experience and scheduling efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a point of contact for candidates throughout the interview process and ensure they are comfortable interacting with candidates.
- Communicate professionally and tactfully and treat all candidates with the highest level of confidentiality and customer service
- Handle complex interviews that will consist of international and external meetings as well as external video conferencing.
- Collaborate with Recruiters, Hiring Managers, colleagues, and other cross-functional partners to ensure an excellent candidate experience.
- Timely tracking of talent pipelines through administration of our Applicant Tracking System
- Participate in and execute recruiting initiatives driven by Recruiting, Talent Ops, PeopleOps, Engineering, and other teams (e.g., recruiting fairs, internship program, diversity conferences)
Basic Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience planning and managing calendars, coordinating recruiting efforts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have experience working with applicant management systems or similar tools
- Experience with scheduling appointments, conducting batch days, and as well as planning events
- Interest and curiosity in recruiting or operational tasks with a focus on scheduling appointments via Google Calendar and also Gmail
- Strong organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, high level of initiative and detail orientation
- Ability to define problems, gather data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions and solutions.
- Discretion and sound judgment and the ability to interact with candidates and Coursera staff at all levels
