Citi
The Application Development Analyst is a mid-level position responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the technology team. The overall objective of this position is to participate in application systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize knowledge of application development procedures and concepts, as well as basic knowledge of other technical areas, to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including the use of scripting tools and analysis/interpretation of code
- Advise users, customers, and other technology groups on issues, recommend programming solutions, install and support systems for customer exposure
- Apply basic knowledge of programming languages to design specifications.
- Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, and perform testing and troubleshooting
- Serve as a consultant or coach for new or lower level analysts.
- Identify problems, analyze information, and make judgments to recommend and implement solutions
- Solves problems by identifying and selecting solutions, applying acquired technical experience and considering precedents
- Is able to work with a limited amount of direct supervision.
- May exercise independent judgment and autonomy.
- Functions as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
- Appropriately assesses risk in business decisions with particular regard to the reputation of the company and the protection of Citigroup, its customers and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations; following policies;
- applying sound ethical judgment in personal conduct, demeanor and business practices; and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry
- Intermediate application development experience
- Consistently clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/College degree or equivalent experience
