The Application Development Program Analyst is a mid-level position responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the technology team.
The overall objective of this position is to participate in application systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize knowledge of application development procedures and concepts, as well as basic knowledge of other technical areas,
- to identify and define necessary system enhancements
- Identify and analyze problems, make recommendations and implement solutions
- Use knowledge of business processes, system processes, and industry standards to solve complex problems
- Analyze information and make judgments to recommend solutions and improvements
- Perform testing and debugging, use scripting tools, and write basic code for design specifications
- Assess the applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options in circumstances not covered by procedures
- Develop working knowledge of Citi’s information systems, procedures, standards, client-server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC -based applications
- Appropriately assess risk in business decisions with particular regard to the reputation of the firm and the protection of Citigroup, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations; adhering to policies; exercising sound ethical judgment in their personal conduct, demeanor and business practices; and transparently escalating, managing and reporting control issues.
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Experience in programming/debugging in business applications
- Strong knowledge of industry practices and also standards
- Extensive knowledge of the specific business area of application development
- Furthermore, Strong knowledge of programming languages
- Consistently clear and concise written and as well as verbal communication.
