Introduction:
The Prime Equity Finance architecture is undergoing a major modernization and is looking for top talent to work closely with traders on revenue generating programs. The primary objectives of this role are to build, enhance and support Equity Finance trading services in Java/purposeful technologies.
The secondary objective is to replace existing stored procedures and legacy components with new micro services. Responsibilities include building the secured finance applications and infrastructure to support key strategic, regulatory and control programs.
What will you be doing?
- Responsible for specific project deliverables for EF platforms
- Responsible for Front2Backfront2back development considering business, regulatory and control requirements including DevOps, Barclays SDLC, security, stability, capacity, resilience and maintainability
- Participate in scrums as required
- Independently build and manage relationships with upstream/downstream applications and support
- Collaborate with business partners to develop long-term, high-quality services for our customers
- Own and/or influence changes, project schedules and architecture
- Design, build, test and deploy Magics application components
What we are looking for:
- Very good practical experience with VB6
- Strong experience in working with common development frameworks
- Strong experience in developing distributed applications with VC ++, SQL
- Work in an agile environment, knowledge of GIT /Stash repository, Dev-ops/CI/CD tools like Jenkins, ELK etc.
- Any experience with Angular is a big plus.
- Experience with build and release management
- Excellent communication skills
- Master of Computer Applications (MCA) OR Bachelor of Engineering OR Bachelor of Computer Science and above.
Skills that will assist you in filling the position:
- Experience supporting production infrastructure for a global trade capture platform.
- Strong understanding and experience with relational databases. (SQL Server)
- Messaging technologies, e.g. Tibco RV, MQ and Solace
- Scheduling, including but not limited to Autosys
- Understanding of working in globally distributed teams in a banking and financial services environment
- The role requires the ability to dive into complex business processes and the candidate is expected to play a key role in the development of our global technology
