Job Description:
Roles and responsibilities:
Responsibilities include performing monthly financial statements for multiple transportation accounts, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations, and also balance sheet analysis. The position supports management in all aspects of financial accounting, reporting systems, procedures and policies.
The position also plays an important role in promoting the development of systems and procedures within the department to ensure continuous improvement in efficiency and control.
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in innovating processes and exceeding expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Knowledge and skills/ business acumen/ education and experience:
- Certified accountant with CA, ICWA, CIMA, CMA, CPA or other designations
- Previous retail, marketplace or financial services experience is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and as well as verbal communication skills.
- Zeal for operational excellence/procedure improvement and simplification
- Excellent knowledge of financial controls and procedures, US GAAP knowledge would be an asset
- Advanced Excel and also SQL skills are a must
- Experience with Oracle/SAP
- Flexible, adaptable, well organized
- Knowledge of Six Sigma defect reduction techniques (Lean, etc.) preferred
- Proactive behavior
- Strong team player
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and very energetic
