Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- The primary role of the position is to perform analysis and quality control of the e-book digital content and to identify errors and validate errors reported by various systems and customers.
- The job requires a quick understanding of e-book content quality standards, workflow tools, and other supporting tools.
- The employee must continually adapt to and learn new features of various tools and systems. -The employee must follow SOP to find errors in content.
- Employee must review content quality to improve customer experience when viewing content and using Kindle devices. The employee must use software tools for quality checking, content editing, and data collection.
- Employee must know operational metrics such as productivity (number of titles processed per hour), quality (error rate), and delivery/latency SLA. The Associate will be measured on adherence to these metrics, SLA requirements, QA policies, team goals, personal goals, and ability to design and drive process improvements.
- The Associate should be a team player and contribute ideas to improve the editorial and quality assurance process.
- The associate will be required to interact frequently with publishers and vendor managers to report identified errors and update status as needed.
- The employee will provide individual input in this role.
- In addition, the employee must be able to pay attention to minute details, have good communication skills, and as well as display a professional demeanor.
- The employee should be a team player and also contribute ideas to improve the process.
- Maturity and the ability to view explicit adult content from a clinical perspective. This includes nudity and strong language.
Qualifications: Fresher Graduates
- Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent command of written English, including spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment driven by complex software systems and processes.
- Should be self-motivated and a good team player.
- Ability to problem solve, analyze data and troubleshoot issues related to content quality.
- Good interpersonal skills to maintain ongoing relationships with the software team and teams with whom you work.
- Ability to work seamlessly in MS Excel & MS Word
Skills Requirements:
- Knowledge of various aspects of the written English language.
- Proofreading skills are an added advantage.
- Self-starter, good team player.
- Strong attention to detail in editing content and also identifying root causes of issues.
- Knowledge or experience in the publishing industry is a big plus.
- Ability to drive new mechanisms within internal teams.
